Return from China Workshop
I have returned from the extraordinarily intense month long level 4 training on Emei Mountain. Twenty-two of Grandmaster Fu’s top students traveled to the other side of the world for this once in a lifetime experience. The days were long with study, workouts and lectures. The weather was very humid, cloudy and rainy, with the temperature in the 60’s. We did not see the sun or a single star in the sky for the entire month, but the energy and power of the mountain shined bright upon all of us. It is truly an incredible mountain. The food was wonderful as every meal was filled with the spices of the local area. The vegetables were fresh and delicious, as were the platters of Fish, beef, chicken, pork and tofu. The fried bananas with chocolate covered flakes at a local restaurant made a fine dessert. The service at the hotel, “The Emei Shan Grand Hotel” was exceptional. The finest service I have ever had in the world. They truly aimed to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We became very popular at the base of the mountain and even got our picture on a billboard and on local TV. One afternoon following class the local television news channel shot a video of us including interviews. During dinner a couple of days later we found ourselves on TV. We laughed out loud and had a lot of fun with it.
Grandmaster Fu led a highly energized and cultivating workshop that had our brains and bodies going to the max. Here is a normal day for me. I woke up each day at 5:30 am for about a half an hour meditation. Then I went to the big waterfall about a five minute walk outside our hotel. I practiced the 18 Movement form, Heaven and Earth form, Walking with Qi form, Emei Qigong Taiji and Kung Fu. After the morning workout I went back to my room to get ready for class.
Each day classroom study was from 9:00-5:00 with an hour break for lunch. Grandmaster Fu lectured on the theories, philosophies, techniques and exercises within the Emei Qigong system. After class we gathered at a beautiful spot on the mountain for an hour of Wuji Gong practice. Click here to learn more about Wuji Gong.
Dinner was at 7:00 pm at the hotel “Tea House” and after most of went back to our rooms for study and sleep. We had three days off during the month to roam the sacred mountain which is filled with old monasteries and amazing nature. We all needed that time off to reflect and relax our minds and bodies.
Grandmaster Fu’s classroom lectures were separated into three parts. The first two weeks were the level one teacher training program. We reviewed in great detail the information taught in the four day workshop. Each one of had to prepare and then present a presentation based on the material we reviewed. Everyday for two weeks we each gave at least two oral presentations to a teammate partner. We then gathered in the conference room to critic the presentation and help each to improve.
The third week was a meeting on the organization of Emei Qigong in America and new insight on the level two “Change your Destiny” workshop. We learned how to read a persons nature and their luck years based on their pre-birth energy. Grandmaster Fu also taught the ancient and effective techniques to cleanse past life Karma and to clean out negative Feng Shui and spirits. These are 800 year old Emei Qigong techniques that amazed all of us.
The forth and final week Grandmaster Fu brought in the very capable translator “Shu Ling (Xu Lin)” from Chengdu University She was the best translator Grandmaster Fu ever had and he was able to go into great detail about the psychological and emotional root causes of illness relating to our 12 organs in traditional Chinese medicine and the Emei Qigong health system. Our brains were on overload when the workshop ended but the experience has made all of us better Emei Qigong teachers and healers. All of us reached greater heights spiritually and we left Emei Mountain Qi-fully.
